Successful Conclusion of “First Hard-tipped Pen Calligraphy Competition” of Great Aim

  Great people lend glory to the land of plenty. The hard-tipped pen calligraphy works fully exhibit the talent of staff.

  On April 27, the “1st Hard-tipped Pen Calligraphy Competition” of Great Aim Group was concluded successfully. After a comprehensive appraisal, 10 excellent works have been selected to win first, second and third prizes and prize of merit.

  Great Aim Group has always paid high attention to the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture. It has become an important part of Great Aim’s corporate culture to carry forward excellent traditional culture. Among the staff, many are lovers of calligraphy. In order to carry forward traditional Chinese culture and further enliven the cultural life of staff of Great Aim Group, the “first hard-tipped pen calligraphy competition” organized by the group was kicked off on April 5. After twenty days of works collection and appraisal, the competition came to a successful conclusion. The competition received great support from the group’s leaders and warm response from the employees. In one week, a total of 65 calligraphy works had been collected. Staff of the Group and secondary subsidiaries in different places had contributed their entries actively. The passionate, elegant and steady, or unique calligraphy styles of the staff have exhibited their charm and graceful bearing from different angles. After the busy work, they exchanged views with each other on the practice of hard-tipped pen calligraphy.

  Following principles of fairness, justice and openness, the names of participants were covered when the works were appraised. Leaders of the board of the group were invited to score the entries. Chairman Yang Feng supervised and verified the result of appraisal. After one week of appraisal, finally Peng Guanjun and Li Xiongzhi won first prize; Xu Xiaoli, Guo Hui and Pan Xian won second prize; Liao Qing, Deng Beikan and Li Jianbang won third prize. An awarding ceremony will be held on some day of May to award the bonus, prize and certificate.

  Calligraphy is a symbol in traditional Chinese culture. Just as Chairman Yang said, “May the remote ancient (calligraphy culture) no longer be considered as out-dated by the young generation and may generation after generation of Chinese people write characters and behave themselves well”. The group will continue to organize more and better cultural activities. Hopefully all people in Great Aim Group can carry forward and learn calligraphy culture and absorb essence and nutrition from the brilliant culture of China today when computer application is common.
