  To carry forward traditional culture,a private entrepreneur of Zhuhai conducted the“National Training for Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy Teachers”in Beijing.More than 300 calligraphy teachers from North China,Northeast China and Beijing participated in the activity.Yang Feng,Deputy Director of the“Calligraphy Inheritance”Academic Guidance Group of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and Chairman of Great Aim Group,expressed that he badly hated Christmas trees because foreign culture is eroding the tradition of the Chinese nation and that he was to make investment to establish a“Calligraphy Inheritance”college,aimed at realizing normalized calligraphy in inheritance.


  More than 300 calligraphy teachers participated in the training


  At 9:00am,July 5,the opening ceremony of the“Calligraphy Inheritance∙National Training for Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy Teachers 2017”was held in Beijing.More than 300 calligraphy teachers from North China,Northeast China and Beijing participated in the activity.

  Su Shishu,a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and Chairman of Chinese Calligraphers Association,pointed out that Chinese characters are the carrier of calligraphy and calligraphy is an art of Chinese handwriting and an expression form of the beauty of Chinese characters.As teachers are the key to the inheritance of calligraphy,the Ministry of Education required that management of Chinese calligraphy education should be strengthened.“In 2014,the Ministry of Education started to implement training in primary and secondary teacher education and required Chinese Calligraphers Association to elaborately organize local calligraphers associations to act in close coordination.In the past two years,with the joint effort of the Ministry of Education and China International Literature Art Association,we have achieved prominent results,”Su Shishu said.

  Wang Dai,an associate inspector from the Basic Education Department of the Ministry of Education,expressed that culture is the blood vessel of a nation and the spiritual home of Chinese people and calligraphy education at primary and secondary schools is a significant move.


  A“Calligraphy Inheritance”college is to be established


  “I hate Christmas trees,because foreign culture is eroding the tradition of the Chinese nation.I don’t allow Christmas trees to be placed in my jurisdiction.My colleagues of the young generation may call me a tyrant or a country bumpkin,but I am happy to hear that,because I love our own tradition,”said Yang Feng,Deputy Director of the“Calligraphy Inheritance”Academic Guidance Group of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and Chairman of Great Aim Group.Yang Feng expressed that he is so worried when seeing the young generation can’t write without a keyboard but he does not hate this situation,because this is a kind of social progress while human beings ignore inheritance in progress.“We will launch the third session‘Calligraphy Inheritance’study class,which will be of great significance to the calligraphy teachers from all over the country,”Yang Feng added.

  Yang Feng expressed that he would like to donate a“Calligraphy Inheritance”college in the name of Great Aim Group to Chinese Calligraphers Association.Chinese Calligraphers Association is responsible for assigning teachers to the college,and the enrollment targets are primary and secondary calligraphy teachers.This“Calligraphy Inheritance”college is aimed at realizing normalized calligraphy in inheritance through calligraphy spreading.
